The Daily Production Technician in Training is responsible for:

Learning to Operating the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for daily production tasks and operations.
Learning to Verifying product to be used and traceability of finished product via labeling.
Learn to Completing day to day paperwork for production.
Become efficient and in Operating pallet jack devices safely and correctly along with completing the daily iAuditor on each pallet jack that will be used.
Following all food safety and GMP policies.
Also responsible for learning production position in order to help fill in on the production line

Job Responsibilities:

Help to rotate DPT breaks/lunch.
Help on the production line to rotate breaks/lunch.
Verifying product numbers for production during operation.
Coordinating with Inventory Control to ensure product is released for production.
Coordinating with Cold Storage to ensure released product is staged for production.
Troubleshooting scanning operations during production.
Troubleshooting label printers, reprinting labels, verifying labels. Troubleshooting scanning software and hardware.
Communicating with Quality Control for any defect packaging, holds, or product dispositions.
Placing product on HOLD utilizing guidelines set by Quality and Production. Adding hold lots to orders.
Ensures product and personnel safety by following all GMP’s, wearing proper gloves, masks, and garments per customer/EFI standards.
Follows all personal sanitation procedures for handling product.
Follows procedure as described by work instructions or staff members.
Complete all paperwork needed daily: Drum record; and anything else assigned.
Collect all labels and supplier labels from all packaging and raw materials and place in appropriate binders with initials.
Keep track of all finished pallets: need to print label using the WMS, wrap, and stage in freezer
Keep track of all drums. Crumbles/clusters/juice. They all need lids, rings, and labels.

Skill Preferences:

Experience with pallet jack operations.
Experience in WMS software operations.
Working knowledge of office devices and processes.
Good knowledge of MS Office.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

Work Environment

Frequently works in extreme cold (non-weather), in wet or humid conditions (non-weather). Works in areas that require ear protection and/or other PPE. The worker is subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, vibrations, working on mezzanines, and exposure to chemicals.

Physical Demands

This position is considered moderate work. This position requires limited lifting. Occasionally lifts up to 40 pounds or more. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, push, pull, climb or balance, or talk or hear. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Environment is quick paced and repetitious.

Be cautious around all machinery and keep extremities and PPE clear of moving belts. Further, adhere to all warning signs throughout the facility and warnings directed by staff members. Be cautious of transportation units such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and trucks when on premises.
